Reticulated Rectangle With Tiger's Eye Pendant
Reticulation is the technique of heating metal, in this case silver, to the point where it just begins to melt slightly. It produces varying degrees of this slightly rough texture, and can make edges curl up or try to retract into themselves. There is a degree of unpredictability in reticulation, meaning each pendant will have it’s own character and be slightly different from the last, but will be just as beautiful.
The golden-toned gemstone featured on this pendant is an oval ‘tiger’s eye’ cabochon, and measures 15mm x 8mm. The rectangle itself measures approximately 34mm x 13mm, not including the overhang of the stone setting.
Made entirely in sterling silver, including the chain which is 20 inches in length.
As with all of my jewellery, it will come beautifully presented in a gift box which includes a small polishing cloth and an anti-tarnish square, making it the perfect gift for a loved one, or a well-deserved treat to yourself.
